Jack Walker
Jack Walker (he/him) is a senior in Columbia College studying political science and art history. He has been involved with the print division of CULR since the summer before his freshman year as part of the inaugural Summer Publishing Program. Since then, he has served in several different roles, including Executive Editor of the Summer Publishing Program, Lead Editor, Podcast Production Editor, and Print Editor.
Jack has devoted much of his undergraduate career to political science and economics research. He has worked on projects with a variety of faculty members within Columbia's political science department and at the School of International Public Affairs concerning U.S. partisan polarization on abortion and LGTBQ+ rights, voter turnout, trade policy, and legislative redistricting. He is currently pursuing an independent study in the political science department on presidential emergency declaration vis-à-vis delegation theory.
After graduation, Jack will be working as a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at Yale University, focusing on behavioral research at the Center for the Study of American Politics, the Tobin Center for Economic Policy, and the Institution for Social and Policy Studies. He plans to attend law and/or grad school; his legal interests include elections, administration, and civil rights.
